  • The contrast between the two masters and conditions under which we serve
    • Sin's wages or the ration due
      • It is something earned
      • It is something deserved
      • It is something merited
      • It is the law that decides wages

      • It is not a "just recompence"
      • It is only the result of God's grace
      • It is totally free to us who are totally unworthy
  • The differing results
    • The steps of sin
      • Disobedience — unrighteousness
      • Uncleanness — iniquity

        • Physical
        • Spiritual
        • Eternal — final
          • Irreversible separation from God
          • Forever outside the life of God
        • The reality of — Rev 20
    • The steps of grace
      • Obedience, righteousness, holiness
      • Eternal life
        • It means knowing God and the Lord Jesus Christ — Jhn 17:3
        • It means living in the presence of God constantly, continually, forever
        • It means that we shall be glorified
          • Crowned with righteousness — 2Ti 4:8, Jhn 17:22, Eph 5:26-27
          • We shall be like Him — 1Jo 3:1-3
        • It means to share and enjoy the life of God for eternity
          • Without sin
          • Without sorrow
          • Without worry
          • Without fear
          • With every positive quality
        • It means enjoying and sharing the life of God
          • It is a way of life now
          • We have eternal life when we believe in Christ
  • The means — "Through Jesus Christ our Lord"
    • Rom 1:3, 8; 3:24; 5:1, 11, 17, 21; 6:11
      • Everything is through Him
      • Without Him there is nothing — Jhn 15:5
