      • Our physical death and resurrection are not identical with His
      • What has happened to Him literally happens to us spiritually
        • This does not primarily refer to our literal bodily resurrection
        • This refers to our present Christian life while we are still here in this world
  • The new life
    • We are no longer in the old life under the ruling power of sin
      • We died out of it
      • We have risen out of it
    • We are now under the rule of grace and the reign of grace is so powerful that sin has been defeated
