The Christian belongs to Christ.
1. We are His by donation. We have been gIven to Christ by the Father (Jhn 17:6).
2. We are His by His death; for He has bought us with His blood (1Cr 6:20).
3. We are His by deliverance, for He has delivered us from the kingdom of darkness (Col 1:13).
4. We are His by dependence, for by His grace we are what we are (1Cr 15:10).
5. We are His by His dwelling within us, for our bodies are the temples of the Holy Ghost (1Cr 3:16).
6. We are His by direction, for "as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God" (Rom 8:14).
7. We are His by dedication, for we have yielded ourselves to Him (Rom 6:16).
