1. Walking as Christ walked. "So to walk, even as He walked" (1Jo 2:6).
2. Loving the brethren. "He that loveth his brother abideth in the light" (1Jo 2:10).
3. Not ashamed at Christ's coming. "And not be ashamed before Him at His coming" (1Jo 2:28).
4. Sinning not. "Whosoever abideth in Him, sinneth not" (1Jo 3:6).
5. The witness of the Spirit. "We know He abideth in us, by the Spirit" (1Jo 3:24).
6. Possessing the Father and Son. "He that abideth…he hath both the Father and Son" (2Jo 1:9).
7. Prayers answered. "If ye abide in Me…ye shall ask what ye will" (Jhn 15:7).
8. Fruit-bearing. "He that abideth…bringeth forth much fruit" (Jhn 15:5).
