What is the result or evidence of God dwelling in us, and we dwelling in God? We can but give a few of the Scriptures, reminding our readers that the Greek word meno is translated in our Testament by eight different words, viz., abide, continue, remain, tarry, be present, endure, stand, and dwell. The following are a few of the results or evidences.
1. Feeding upon Christ (Jhn 6:56).
2. Christ dwelling in our hearts by faith (Eph 3:17).
3. Keeping His commandments (1Jo 3:24).
4. Dwelling in love (1Jo 4:16).
5. Confessing Jesus as the Son of God (1Jo 4:15)
6. Abiding in the light (1Jo 2:10).
7. Not abiding in darkness (Jhn 12:46).
8. Abiding in Christ (Jhn 15:4-10).
9. Loving one another (1Jo 3:11).
10. Word of God abiding in us (1Jo 2:14).
11. Doing the will of God (1Jo 2:17).
12. Continuing in His Word (Jhn 8:31).
13. Continuing in love (Jhn 15:9).
14. Continuing in the Son (1Jo 2:24).
15. Continuing in the Father (1Jo 2:24).
16. His joy remaining in us (Jhn 15:11).
17. Walking as He walked (1Jo 2:6).
18. Continuing in the things we have heard (2Ti 3:14).
