Birgitte Cathrine Johannessen Boye (1742-1824) Born: March 7, 1742, Gentofte, Denmark.

Died: October 17, 1824.

Boye married a supreme court judge in Copenhagen, Denmark. As a hymnist, she was involved with Guldbergs og Harboes Psalmebog (Guldberg’s and Harboe’s Psalter), to which she contributed 146 hymns. She also produced “national dramatic writing.”
