Question:
I want to see a commentary on a chapter in the middle of a book; can I do this without having to scroll through all the preceding chapters?
Answer:
Yes, there is an easier way! Most of the site focuses around the Bible, so start on our homepage at http://www.blueletterbible.org. We'll use an example of finding a commentary on Isaiah 32:4.
In this situation, you would
Go to the section just below the title head,
Select Isaiah as "Book", 32 as the "Chapter," and 4 as the "Verse."
Then click the "Go to Bible" button.
This will take you to Isaiah chapter 32 where you can scroll down through that chapter's verses.
When you see a verse for which you'd like to view commentaries, click the verse heading.
For example, clicking on Isa 32:4 (which is a blue link) or the
button will ask our program to find all the commentaries, audio or messages, associated with this verse.
A list will be returned to you, next to the verse—in this case next to Isaiah 32:4.
Click into this list, and a menu of choices will be revealed to you.
You will see Matthew Henry for Isaiah 32:4 as one of your several choices.
Select it and click the "View Commentary" button.
In this way, you can easily view lots of commentaries for any verse.
Thank you for your interest in the Blue Letter Bible and we hope that God will grant you continual blessing in your studies.
