How Does God Accomplish His Purpose in Our Lives?

We have mentioned that God is working out His purpose in our lives. How are some of the ways He goes about doing this?

Ruler

To begin with, God is in control of all circumstances:

The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord (Pro 16:33).

God, ultimately is in charge.

For the kingdom is the Lord's, and He rules over all the nations (Psa 22:28).

Knows Everything

The Bible says that nothing escapes the eyes of God the Father:

Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father's will. But the very hairs on your head is numbered, Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows (Mat 10:29-31).

Nothing escapes God's notice.

Through Unbelievers

The Scripture teaches that God achieves His purpose in unbelievers.

And the Lord had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they granted them what they requested. Thus they plundered the Egyptians (Exd 12:36).

God reigns over the nations; God sits on His holy throne (Psa 47:8).

Summary

God achieves His purpose in our lives in a variety of ways. Since nothing escapes His notice He uses all sorts of circumstances to get His will done in our lives. This includes unbelievers.
