Confession is the forerunner of blessing.
1. Abraham said, "I am dust and ashes" (Gen 18:21), and got all he asked for.
2. Isaiah, "I am unclean," and got cleansed (Isa 6:5).
3. Job, "I am vile," and got blessing (Job 40:4).
4. David, Born in sin, and got covered (Psa 51:5; Psa 32:1).
5. Peter, "I am a sinful man," and received the keys of the kingdom (Luk 5:8; Mat 16:19).
6. Publican, "the sinner," and went home justified (Luk 18:13, R.V., M.).
7. The prodigal, "I am not worthy," and was feasted (Luk 15:21).
