A Sevenfold view given to us of Christ as the Son of Man.
As the Son of Man He is seen in His suffering (Mat 17:12, 22; Mat 18; Mat 19; Mat 26:2, 24, 45).
1. In His poverty (Mat 8:20).
2. In His authority (Mat 9:6; Mat 12:8; Mat 13:41; Mat 16:13).
3. In His work (Mat 13:37; Mat 18:11).
4. In His death (Mat 12:40).
5. In His resurrection (Mat 17:9).
6. In His coming glory (Mat 16:27-28; Mat 19:28; Mat 24:27, 30, 37, 44; Mat 25:13, 31; Mat 26:64).
When Christ is spoken of as the "Son of Man" it is always in relation to the earth. He is never once said to be such in the epistles in relation to the Church, for the Church has to do with heaven, and not earth. Not once in the epistles is He said to be the Son of Man. Once He is said to be the Son of Man in the Acts (Act 7:56), and twice in the Revelation (Rev 1:13; Rev 14:14).
