Christ as the Living Water may be viewed in relation to other things to which He is likened, as being its complement.
1. The Son of the Living God is its personification (Mat 16:16; Jhn 6:69).
2. The Living Bread is its nourishment (Jhn 6:51).
3. The Living Christ is its security (Jhn 14:19).
4. The Living Word is its assurance (Hbr 4:12; 1Pe 1:23).
5. The Living High Priest is its joy (Hbr 7:25).
6. The Living Stone is its foundation (1Pe 2:4).
7. The Living Way is its privilege (Hbr 10:20).
8. The Living Hope is its glory (1Pe 1:3, R.V.).
