1. Christ has authority over all flesh (Jhn 17:2, R.V.).
2. Christ has all authority given to Him in heaven and earth (Mat 28:18, R.V.).
3. Christ had authority from His Father to lay down His life (Jhn 10:18). The word "power" in this verse is the same that is rendered "authority" in Jhn 17:2, R.V.
4. Christ has authority to forgive sins (Mat 9:6, margin, R.V.).
5. Christ gives authority to those who receive Him, to be the children of God (Jhn 1:12). The word "power" is the same as "authority" in Jhn 5:27.
6. Christ gave His disciples authority over disease and demons when He was here on earth (Mat 10:1, R.V.).
7. Christ has authority to execute judgment (Jhn 5:27).
