104. COVETOUSNESS

COVETOUSNESS is the root of all evils. It—

1. Blunts the sensitive nerve of love (Jud 1:11).

2. Blurs the picture of life (2Ti 4:10).

3. Banishes the companionship of generosity (Mat 13:22).

4. Breeds the evil worm of discontent (1Ti 6:5-8).

5. Burdens the spirit with the load of sorrow (1Ti 6:10).

6. Blinds the eyes to the beauty of Christ (Luk 18:22-24).

7. Blasts the unscrupulous devotee with an unholy passion and endless misery (1Ti 6:9).
